Our flat is in one of the most outstanding buildings of Ljubljana. This Art Deco building was designed in 1922 by the Slovenian architect Ivan Vurnik and painted by his wife Helena.
The flat is large (125 sqm) and sunny. It has a spacious living room with a dining area, two large bedrooms and a tiny one, a well equipped kitchen also with a dining area, a bathroom with a tub, a separate toilet and a terrasse (150 sqm) with a great view on the castle of Ljubljana. Do not hesitate to use the barbecue or the couch hammock !
Our large bedroom is equipped with a kingsize bed. We have a child’s bed and a baby’s bed in the other large bedroom. We can provide you with two single matresses to make two single beds or one double bed. There is no bed in the tiny room (we use it as a study) but we can put there one single matress or a child's bed. Any combination is possible, just know that we can accomodate up to 4 adults, 1 child and 2 babies !
As we have two young children, there are lots of toys, books and baby equipment available.

We have been living here for one year and we should say that we love it ! Everything is in walking distance from our flat, so there is no need for a car. We stay at the beginning of the pedestrian area, at 100 m from the the Triple Bridge, where « the city’s heart beats ». There runs the Ljubljanica, the river that crosses Ljubljana. The atmosphere is very romantic, in winter as well as in summer. The city is dynamic, people love going out and restaurants and coffe houses are always full. There are lots of terraces and bars where you can enjoy a glass of Refosk, a typical Slovenian wine, before discovering the Slovenian cooking in a Gostina, a traditional taverna.
We love Ljubljana and we can share with you our tips so that you could enjoy the city life as much as we do.

Some say that Slovenia is Europe’s best kept secret. Beautiful scenery, castles, world famous caves, vineyards, this place is great for families and for outdoor lovers. Within one hour, you can reach the Alps for skiing in the winter or hiking, climbing or biking during the summer. And the sea is at one hour drive as well.
Ljubljana itself is a great city to discover and to enjoy at anytime of the year, with its wonderful river panorama, its beautiful architecture (with Austrian and Venetian influences) and its lively cultural scene (museums, concerts, opera, theater). If it is a very romantic place for a couple, it is also great for families : zoo, parks, popular puppet theaters, museums for children, great outdoors, castles ... there is no worry to keep them busy !
