Approx 980 square foot, 2 bedroom 2 bath condo plus pull out couch. Master has a queen bed, second bedroom is perfect for kids/teenagers with a futon couch/double bed, plus a twin on top and trundle underneath. Gas fireplace, fully stocked kitchen (even though small) for those who like to cook. . Balcony with great mountain views overlooking the community hot tub. There is a heated salt water pool at base camp that we might be able to get guest passes to use. Great place for those looking for a very family oriented place to ski, beginner to advanced beginner slopes, with a few advanced runs, but only 20 minutes to Winter Park for more advanced skiing. Offers night skiing and tubing during ski season on Saturday nights. Close to snow mobile rentals and lots of great snow shoeing, and ice fishing opptys. Spring/summer/fall: mountain biking, fly fishing, golf, hiking, etc. Rocky Mtn national park is only 20 minutes away, Grand Lake and Lake Granby as well for fishing, boating and eagle spotting. If you are looking for lots of night life within walking distance, this is not your place. :). However, Winter Park is 20 minutes away with some nice resturants and bars and Grand Lake has some great resturants and wonderfully unique shopping. No phone, wireless is available as well as basic cable, DVD players and play station 2, Wii, Xbox 360 and lots of games for family fun. Washer and dryer. If you are looking for a Colorado experience without alot of expense, this is the place to be. We don't rent the condo out, so is set up just the way we would enjoy it ourselves as we often do.

Our condo is in the Kicking Horse Lodge part of Granby Ranch. Private entrance, so no need to take any elevators and very few stairs form the parking lot to the front door. Granby Ranch is a very picturesque, small, private area that is nestled back beyond the main road. There is a base camp lodge where you can rent skis and other equipment. They have two restaurants open during ski season, and is open on a limited basis depending on events the rest of the year. There is a grocery store, liquor store, gas station, etc. within 5 miles of the condo (at the entrance to granby Ranch). Our condo is considered a ski in/ski out condo, you will have to walk however about 40 yards from our front door to the slope. Base camp however is less than a mile from our front door to catch the main lifts if you would prefer to drive. Check out www.granbyranch.com for more info about the area and offerings. You can also visit www.facebook.com/skisolvista. In the summertime the slopes and lifts change for mountain biking and hiking. They usually have at least one mountain bike event each year in the summertime.

Since the Condo is our second home we are flexible on dates and do not have to do an exact date exchange.

My name is Laura and my husband is Glenn. We have two boys ages 9 and 5. We also have a Swissy puppy named Pepper that loves to hike with us. We live in the Denver area, both in the technology/distribution industry, but love to escape to the mountains whenever we can, no matter the time of year. We have family scattered across the US so are always looking for ways to visit them and thought this would be a great way to do it and be able to share our second home as well. We are also always looking for great vacation ideas for us and the kids so are open to any destination that might be offered.
