San Francisco area: We have a spacious, modern, beautifully decorated, three level home, which includes three bedrooms, two baths, situated on a hill overlooking the mountains; newly remodeled upscale kitchen; gracious formal Living Room with fireplace and adjoining deck; family room, formal and informal Dining areas and a comfortable Family Room that opens onto a spacious redwood deck with stunning views. Newly renovated bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub.

There is a patio in the front of the house with a lovely garden. Patio, decks and all rooms are quite private and not visible from neighbors. Hiking trails, golf, tennis and swimming available nearby. We are close to dining and shopping in the lovely, quaint towns of Mill Valley, Tiburon, Belvedere and Sausalito. We are experienced home exchangers who have traded with families in China, Paris, Brittany, Germany, Puerto Rico, and three times in Spain as well as many
locations in the United States.

Our home is located in Mill Valley, Marin County approximately seven minutes across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. Our immediate neighborhood consists of about twenty houses on a hill with easy access to the freeway. We are on a private street with only one way in and one way out on over 1/3 acre of land, albeit most is a somewhat steep hill. We are situated on a peninsula with water in all directions. The two closest towns are Mill Valley and Tiburon. Mill Valley is the larger of the two with many good restaurants and shopping, galleries, and a cinema. Tiburon is located at the point of the peninsula and has several restaurants with outdoor seating and spectacular views of the City of San Francisco and the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges. Ferry service into San Francisco is available from Tiburon. Sausalito is possibly the most famous of the cities in Marin County. It is the first town you reach after crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. There are many galleries and, once again, drinking and dining establishments overlooking the City. And, of course, there is San Francisco, the Wine Country, Muir Woods and the Ocean are just moments away.
Europeans love Marin County's quaint towns because each is distinct and unique and very safe.

The weather in Marin county is warmer than San Francisco in the summer!

Our exchange party usually consists of three or four adults. Our main purpose would be recreation, enjoying the culture and the scenery, and getting to meet the local people. A car exchange has always seemed to be mutually beneficial.

We travel around school schedules.

We are looking to exchange with a family in Hawaii the first week of April, 2013 or during the summer.
In the summer 2013, we would like to exchange with a family from Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Hawaii, or Lake Tahoe. We also would enjoy long weekend exchanges within California on water- especially Lake Tahoe. We are also OPEN to many destinations around the world, so please ask!

We usually travel with three or four people in our group. Both my sister and I are teachers and a friend or two of ours may join us.
