Alex is a 3rd grade teacher after many years of teaching older kids and doing admissions work for a private school in Cambridge where we lived before moving to the island full time. Wendy is a retired social worker now writing fiction. Nickleby is a sweet and gentle 5 year old cat who would rather be stalking the ducks on the pond than sitting on anyone's lap for very long.
