Unser Heim
Our house in Limoux, South France, is suitable for non-simultaneous exchanges.
The house, called ‘Bel-Air”, is isolated in the middle of wineyards. It is very peaceful, and the landscape is splendid: Bel-Air is situated on a hill of wineyards and dominates the town of Limoux. Bel-Air contains our house, and my grand-parents' house.
The house is very cosy. It is decorated by my Mum with very good taste. It has two levels: on the ground floor, there is a fully furnished kitchen, the toilets and the living-room. Upstairs, there are two double bedrooms, a single bedroom, and the bathroom. There is a private garden on the Southern face, and a large terrace on the Northern face.
Bel-Air is very close to Limoux: you can drive to the town centre within a few minutes (about 5 minutes I guess), so that you can enjoy cinema, shops, restaurants,... Otherwise, you will need to walk during 30min to reach the centre; but mind you, the way back is very steep!
NB: limited internet access in Bel-Air!!!

WINE, WINE, AND MORE WINE!
Limoux is very well known in France for its "blanquette", a famous white wine as good as champaign according to people from here... La blanquette is in fact one of the types of wine my uncle makes.
Between the Pyrenees mountain and the Mediterranean sea, Limoux is the perfect site for a nice break.
It offers possibilities of quiet walks in the campaign while conserving all the advantages of a small town with restaurants, cinema, shops... The most courageous can try skying, climbing, rafting, kayac or other sensation sports, around but very close to Limoux. For the lovers of history, Limoux is at the very centre of the region where cathares were persecuted, and vestiges of their castles can be visited.

My husband and myself are doctors in science. Damien is working on tuberculosis, and I (Helene) am trying to understand why certain people can't have babies.
We have three great kids: Eliot is 8 and Swan is 6 (Zaiane is three months-old). They are very well-behaved and we teach them to be respectful to their environment.
We are experienced house exchangers (about 8 exchanges already made). All the exchangers were delighted with the region and the house, and so were we.
